The first of four releases in a new series from Bowmore which explore the four notable layers that characterise the Bowmore style. The first release emphasises the trademark sea salt tang from the famous No1 vaults warehouse (the oldest Scotch maturation warehouse space in the world) An elegant green fruit and salty smoke Bowmore with spice and white pepper. Nose:Salted honeycomb, hints of a fishing trawler (oily ropes & fishy sea breeze/ozone) smoked orange curd, hints of cashew or almond nuts, lavender, vanilla shortbread, whitecurrants, toasted marshmallows on a seaside bonfire. Palate: Salted cashews, sugared almonds, herbal honey, lavender/floral notes, nice biscuits, smoked vanilla sugar, kumquat, orange oil. Finish: Salt and white pepper, smoked vanilla shortbread, green fig, pear, anjelica, anise, lime curd, cashew nuts.
