It was back in 1858 when founder Hiram Walker first opened his distillery in Canada. Canadian Club or "CC" has over 150 years of tradition stored in each bottle. The brand gained popularity quickly among gentlemen's clubs, so much so that when prohibition hit, Canadian Club became the most smuggled whisky in the U. S. What made Canadian Club so popular, besides it being Al Capone's favorite? We think it has something to do with Walker aging his spirit in oak barrels for a minimum of five years. At the time, most producers were aged less than a year. The legend still carries on as Canadian Club 100% Rye won the 2014 Canadian Whisky of the year. Made from 100% Rye, Canadian Club is full of vanilla, caramel, oak and spice. Notes: Smooth, medium-bodied.
