Knockdhu distillery was built in 1893, and is situated on the eastern flank of Speyside, near to Keith. The distillery ran until 1983 where it closed like many others as a result of the "Whisky Loch".
Knockdhu was bought by Inver House in 1988, of who changed the name of the Whisky to AnCnoc, to avoid confusion with the Whisky from Knockando distillery. There are now a range of aged malts, including peated versions from the owners as well as the occasional independent bottling.
