SKYY Vodka's story begins with its founder, Maurice Kanbar, who created the brand in 1992 in San Francisco to produce a smoother vodka for the perfect martini. He achieved this through a proprietary process of quadruple-distilling and triple-filtering the vodka, which became known for its purity and was packaged in its distinctive cobalt-blue bottle to break with tradition. The brand has since been acquired by Gruppo Campari and has continued to evolve with new product lines like SKYY Infusions and updated marketing campaigns aimed at both its heritage and new generations.
