Vodka
Absolut Vodka's story began with entrepreneur Lars Olsson Smith, who created "Absolut Rent Brännvin" (Absolutely Pure Vodka) in 1879 using a new continuous distillation process. The brand was revived for international export in 1979 by the Swedish company Vin & Sprit, who used Smith's legacy to launch the premium vodka with an iconic, apothecary-style bottle. The brand has since become a global leader, known for its distinctive design and commitment to its Swedish heritage, sourcing ingredients from a single community in Åhus.
