Established in 1960, the Macduff distillery produces Glen Deveron Single Malt Whisky. The distillery uses the water from springs above the distillery and also water from the nearby River Deveron.
The barley used is lightly peated and they use bourbon, sherry and refill casks which gives its whisky toasty vanilla flavours. Glen Deveron is available in a variety of single malts and the whisky is also used in blends such as Scottish Gold. The name Macduff is used for independent bottles from this distillery, while Deveron is reserved for official bottlings.
