Featured in the 1001 whiskies you must try before you die book "The nose is sweet with fresh fruits, melon, apple, pear and a hint of honey. The mouthfeel is big and coating with just a hint of smoke behind the fruit notes. " Our Tasting Notes: Nose: Sultana pancakes, coffee and walnut cake, ginger latte, tangarine skin, cedar wood and incence wood spices. Palate: Orange marmalade on brown toast, dry and nutty sherry wood, treacle tart. Finish: Toasted nutshells, walnuts, mocha, spiced orange, polished oak. There are not too many offical 25 year old Tamdhu's available on the market and this a lovely, well balanced and mellow release of this recently revived Speyside distillery.
