A sublime 50 year old single malt from an un-named Speyside distillery, bottled by TBWC. Just 604 bottles were produced from this first batch. Big, rich and dark aromas of rancio, molasses, dark chocolate cake, oily tar and leather. The palate is complex, layered and mouth filling with treacle, chocolate,plus and a slight slight savoury note amidst all that. The finish is very long with cherry, plum and a drying oak. Sensational whisky and easily one of the most affordable ways of trying a half century old whisky!!
