From Diageos 2013 Special Release series comes a very rare 36 year old from the Convalmore distillery which ceased production back in 1985. This is a rare appearance for Convalmore as there is very little stock left from this distillery. Matured in Refill European Oak casks that were filled in 1977. This was a limited release of 2,680 bottles which were bottled at a cask strength of 58% ABV. This is a sweet, succulent and very subtle whisky with a big, rich velvety texture that wears its age beutifully. This has developed a wonderful complexity over its time ageing.
