New for christmas 2018 The Macallan Double Cask 12 year old is presented with a beautiful limited edition gift tin, a luxurious gift for any whisky fan. The Macallan Double Cask 12 year old is aged in a combination of American and European Sherry seasoned oak with more emphasis on American oak than the 12 year old Sherry cask but no Bourbon cask influence as in the fine oak range. Tasting Notes: Nose: Milky mocha, praline, dried fruit, butterscotch. Palate: Creamy chocolate, mocha, praline, orange fondant, honey, marmalade, danish pasties. Finish: Creamy mocha with vanilla cream, nutty, sultana bread. A very soft and creamy Sherry seasoned cask aged Macallan that is much lighter than the 12 year old standard Sherry cask release.
