| The lands of Marchigue are located on the western end of the Colchagua Valley; an area privileged with extraordinary climate and predominantly clayish / pumacitic soils. It is here where E. O. V. has grown its vast vineyards. Over 2. 100 hectares of 14 different red grape vines have been established since the begining of 1994 and as of today they are all in full production. Four estates in the area of Marchigue have been delicately developed and tended in order to produce premium grapes. Today, in recognition of this, a number of internationally reknown chilean wineries source grapes from this estates for their high end wines. White wine grapes are produced in Lontue, Curico Valley, where around 500 has of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay thrive. The Errazuriz Ovalle family efforts which have transformed soils of low commercial value into a true nuclei of prosperity and a source of work for thousands of people, continuing the family tradition of contributing to the progress of Chile. |
