During the whole of 2015 all of the staff here at Hard To Find between us have sampled hundreds of different Whiskies, some good, some not-so-good and some outstanding. This 15 year old cask strength Glen Garioch falls firmly into the outstanding category and was the Whisky which everyone at HTFW agreed that, for the price, was by far our favourite of the lot. It's called the Renaissance and it's the first Part of a four part annual series that will document the progress of this freshly rejuvenated distillery. Jason, the founder of Hard To Find (and who wears much better looking hats than other Whisky Reviewers) approached the Distillery, purchased as many bottles as were still available and then managed (as he always seems to do), to get the selling price reduced.
