A stunning 45 year old expression! Distilled in April 1973 and initially aged in a bourbon barrel before being moved over to a Oloroso Sherry hogshead This single malt has been selected not only because of its rarity of age but, very significantly, because it is the result of a careful “finishing” process. The whisky is said to have aromas of orange citrus and Christmas pudding, leading to nuts, chocolate, mocha coffee bean and spicy oak tannins on the palate, with a dry and spicy finish.
