Part of the limited release wood finishes series, Glenglassaugh have released this peated whisky finished in virgin oak casks. Matured in first fill ex-Bourbon Casks and finished for two years in virgin American oak. The sweet earthiness of the coastal peated spirit is brought to life by the new wood. During the finishing process, the whisky takes on intense notes of candy and fresh spice, as if a sweet shop by the beach, spiced by land and sea. Official Tasting Notes Nose:Creamy vanilla with toasted oak spice flows over candy store confectionery and crisp freshly peated barley. Palate: Crisp oak and hints of candied ginger, boiled sweets and brittle toffee, all surrounded by the most deliciously sweet peat smoke.
