| Away back in 1953,in the east coast of Sardinia, a producers’ group of Dorgali set up the Cantina Dorgali; thanks to a constant growth it’s one of the most important companies in the wine growing-producing Sardinian world. Today the Cantina Dorgali approaches a new challenge: a new project that upgrades the own productions through the culture, the history and the traditions of our country. The Cannonau is the absolute protagonist, the prince-vine variety of the regional vitiviniculture that, in this area, for its terroir features can show little known and not yet rightly appreciated characteristcs. The amiliorations start from the vineyard through a different productions culture and cultivation, aiming at a low returns per vine and planning all the works up to the grape harvest. In the winery, the technologies aren’t advanced but suitable to bring out the features of the Cannonau and the other local vine-varieties that are cultivated in our country. Thanks to this new philosopy the soil regains its real identity that is the base for the growth and the improvement of all producted wines. |
