Producer In 1998, when Lee Flourentzou purchased a small parcel of land in the far south west corner of McLaren Vale, he wanted to create a collection of wines that reflected his own sense of passion and adventure. He took his inspiration for the vineyard name from one of the greatest stories of all time - Alexandre Dumas’ The Three Musketeers, and one of its most enduring characters, the legendary Aramis. With their wines counting amongst South Australia’s greatest single vineyard reds, most notably the iconic The Governor Syrah, Aramis Vineyards truly are the modern classics of the McLaren Vale. Red wines are produced from fruit sourced exclusively from their unique vineyard site in McLaren Vale and are now looked after by esteemed winemaker Renae Hirsch. Their elegant whites are made in the cooler climate of the Adelaide Hills by the renowned Peter Leske and are the perfect complement to their powerful reds.
