Wine maker notes Each year some of our finest Riesling vineyards produce grapes that stand head and shoulders above the rest. We choose several of these vineyard blocks, mark them for Genesis, and pick them at optimal ripeness. The result is a beautifully balanced, intensely aromatic Riesling. The Genesis Riesling is a great foil for spicy dishes. Pair it with tandoori chicken, Szechuan beef stir-fry, or smoky, spicy barbecue spare ribs.
Producer THE HOGUE CELLARS™, founded in 1982 by Mike and Gary Hogue, is located in Eastern Washington’s Columbia Valley, the premiere grape growing region of the state. The climate and soils of the Columbia Valley produce grapes with intense fruit flavors and high natural acidity. The wines have a liveliness and ripe, zesty fruit flavors that make them ideal complements to a wide range of food.
