Hay-Maker is sustainably crafted from prime parcels of New Zealand’s best grape growing soils and is a dependable, fresh, full flavored wine by the award winning Mud House winemaking team. From Mud House’s own vineyards in New Zealand’s premier Sauvignon Blanc region of Marlborough, situated on the north face of a hill, provides a perfect micro-climate for distinct, expressive Sauvignon Blanc with tropical fruits and citrus flavors. The wine is 100% grown, produced and certified in accordance with the NZ Sustainable Wine Growing program covering: biodiversity of soil, water and air; energy; chemicals; by products; people; and business practices. The packaging is also produced sustainably and incorporates: a one color design utilizing less ink, recycled cardboard shippers, divider less cartons and lighter weight glass bottles reflecting a natural look and our artisan care. The name Hay-Maker and trademark swirl on the label are agricultural references to the hay bales of the South Island that spring up over the countryside at harvest time. Hay-Maker is quintessential New Zealand expressive Sauvignon Blanc, made with care and respect for nature while over delivering on price/quality. So all you have to do is pick the perfect time to enjoy these full bodied, easy drinking wines. They say “make hay while the sun shines”. . . we say every moment is a hay maker moment.

Producer
Established in 1996, the Mud House name reflects the origin and link to the earth, where the wine begins. The vineyards are nurtured to ensure that the grapes reach optimum ripeness, varietal character and flavor. The winemakers then finely craft the wine to capture the essence of its origin. All Mud House wines are produced sustainably. Mud House touches the earth in their three wine growing regions of New Zealand’s South Island. Stephen Dempster, Mud House’s viticulturist and his team of vineyard managers nurture the grapes along their journey to becoming wines that reflect a sense of place.
