The history of our company is intertwined closely with the figure of its founder, Giovan Battista Burlotto, thanks to the way it operates enterprising and somewhat visionary has emerged as one of the personalities of reference not only the area of Verduno but of the whole panorama of the Barolo production, imposing, in the history of this noble wine of Alba, as one of the true protagonists and founding fathers. Giovan Battista Burlotto, the Commendatore, gave birth to this farm, housed in her beautiful home with an attached private chapel, (where now we like to welcome guests and set the most important tastings), even at a young age in the second half of ’ nineteenth century, drawing grapes from vineyards located in the most suitable positions, (the Monvigliero Verduno, Cannubi in Barolo), who gradually convinced that it could be done only by providing quality wine grapes of primary value, had been purchased.
