The 2014 Ardbeg Day release Auriverdes is named after the dram of two halves which combines the Green bottle with the Golden spirit within and aged in American oak with heavily toasted lids. Nose: Smoked mocha, gravalax on brown toast, tarry carbolic soap, cured salami, peaty pomegranates,juniper, toasted vanilla ,bbq kippers, ashy citrus. Palate: Smoked sweet meats, aromatic herbal honey, juniper, mocha, vanilla toast, gravalax. Finish: Sweet and savoury with mocha, bbq smoke, crispy fish skin, oily and herbal notes, burnt juniper and a cured meat/vanilla combination.
