Another impressive vintage release of Ancnoc from the Knockdhu distillery. Bottled at 46%ABV without artificial colouring and non chill-filtered. Maturation takes place in a combination of American and Spanish oak caks, imparting attractive vanilla, honey and citrus aromas and flavours, plus plenty of richer sherried fruit and spice. Colour: Bright amber Nose: Packed with notes of spicy Christmas cake, liquorice and toffee. Creamy vanilla and ground spices then follow, all wrapped up in the classic honey and citrus aromas so typical of Ancnoc. Palate: Honey, dried fruits, and orange flavours give way to spice, wood and chocolate mid palate plus some savoury, leathery notes. Finish: Sweet, long and warming with plenty of clove, anise and peppery spice courtesy of the European oak casks.
