At the time of writing this was the first and only Single Cask bottling from Port Ellen bottled under Diageo ownership. Only available from the 2008 Feis Ile Islay festival for just 220 very lucky people, the majority who queued for many many hours at the Caol Ila distillery such is the importance of this bottle. Anyone who collected the now defunct yearly Port Ellen special releases will never really have a full set until they obtain this bottle. We regard it as the 7. 5th release and the market agress as this bottle hardly ever appears for sale and each time it does the price continually rises.
