Maison Louis Jadot has been producing exceptional Burgundy wines since its founding in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot. For the past 150 years, Louis Jadot has continued as one of Burgundy's great names and gained an international reputation for its superb red and white Burgundy wines. Louis Jadot is one of the largest producers of estate Burgundies of the Cote d'Or and one of the most celebrated exporters of premium Burgundies, owning close to 140 acres of vineyards from 24 of the most prestigious sites in Burgundy.
This is quite pretty, with ripe but fresh aromas of red cherry, spice and plenty of earth influence. There is good volume and punch to the rich and solidly concentrated medium-bodied flavours that possess a lovely mouth feel, all wrapped in a youthfully austere and beautifully persistent, if noticeably rustic, finish. This will need time, and while it should mature in 12 to 15 years, it will be very long-lived.
