The secret to great SB in SB is to head for the hills. Far inland, well east of the 101 is prime vineyard land for growing this world class white. This is not your run of the mill bistro Sauvignon Blanc. Winemaker Brandon and the Dragonette boys craft complex whites with real soul and texture. In fact, I'd recommend you give this wine a decant before serving to help open up all of its many layers. There's a wild panoply of citrus and floral notes on the nose. The body is voluminous with great texture, refreshing acidity, and a grip as it passes over the palate. Best to serve with food. . . such as bacon wrapped sea scallops.
