Blasted Church Vineyards is an award-winning winery in Okanagan Falls. Their name and inspiration come from a piece of local folklore: in 1929, a small church was successfully dismantled and moved using a controlled dynamite blast to loosen the nails. They focus on creating high-quality, expressive wines that reflect their terroir, while having fun doing it. Wine Description The Big Bang Theory is a joyful blend of six different varietals. Floral notes introduce the wine followed by strawberries, raspberries, cherries, plums and a hint of chocolate. Dried cherries and cranberries open the attack with plum, blueberry and mint carrying through the mid-palate as the tannin builds through the finish. Food Pairing Its richness and structure make it suitable for red meats, grilled sausages, rich mushroom dishes, lasagna, or any pastas with red sauce.
