Quest aims to express the potential and excitement of Paso Robles. As makers and dreamers, their minds are never at rest. They are constantly in pursuit of the possibilities they have yet to create. Quest was born in this spirit and out of a love for American oak and Cabernet Franc. Cabernet Franc is one of the noble grapes of the world-famous Bordeaux region and yet was not widely planted in California, let alone Paso Robles. The fact is, Cabernet Franc is very particular when it comes to soil and temperature. The Quest Cabernet-based blend displays a beautiful creamy menthol nose with hints of sweet cocoa. These aromas continue through the palette and evolve into rich flavours of dark chocolate and crisp mint, the result of being aged in American Oak barrels. As the flavour evolves on the palette, the soft supple tannins melt away leaving evergreen notes that linger long past the first sip.
