Shortbarrel Toasted Bourbon is a distinctive small-batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon that undergoes a unique finishing process to enhance its flavor profile. The bourbon is aged for a minimum of five years and sourced from reputable distilleries such as Bardstown Bourbon Company and Green River. After the initial aging, these bourbons are blended and then re-barreled into new, medium-toasted barrels from Kelvin Cooperage for at least six months. This secondary maturation imparts additional layers of complexity and depth to the spirit.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Deep cherry, maple, nutty almonds, burnt apple, burnt brown sugar, and lingering oak.
