The Faury family has been working the steep hillsides of the Northern Rhône for generations. Jean Faury established the property above Chavanay and his son, Philippe, took over in 1979, the year he bottled the first vintage and began developing the estate. Since 2005, the estate has been managed by Lionel Faury, whose winemaking philosophy is guided by responsible viticulture, respect for the granite terroir, and an approach that yields wines combining power, balance, and finesse. Wine Description On the nose, it offers expressive aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, violets, and black pepper, often complemented by mineral, olive, smoky bacon, or potpourri notes. The palate is typically concentrated, broad, and flavourful, with a transparent dark fruit character, such as black and blue fruit, salty olive, and floral pastille notes. It is a medium-bodied, bold, and structured red that showcases Syrah's peppery aromatics and has a silky texture with a harmonious frame of fine-grained tannins.
