Whisky Description The Botanist Rested Gin is a cuvée of approximately 16 different cask types that have been aged in Bruichladdich's Islay warehouse for a minimum of six months. The resting period in the casks imparts a light amber colour and extra viscosity. On the nose, it has notes of warming spices and candied citrus peels, with a bouquet of perfumed juniper, baking spices, and oak. It also presents subtle hints of dried fruits from the wood. The palate is soft with a complex and balanced flavour profile where the botanicals harmonize with the spices from the wood. The spirit has a deep, rich mouthfeel and a crisp, clean finish with fresh herbal notes, juniper, and citrus. The spirit is vibrant and complex, with the cask influence adding depth and character. Food Pairing The spirit's flavour profile lends itself well to cocktails.
