The 2010 Cornas Chante Perdrix is surprisingly tasty and evolved. I expected it to be totally shut down, but it reveals a dense purple color, supple tannins and a bouquet of blood sausage, Provencal herbs, pepper, smoke and hot rocks. It is a distinctive, classic Cornas that is surprisingly accessible for a wine from this appellation at such a young age. It should drink well for 15+ years.
