Renzo Masi (not to be confused with Amarone producer Masi Agricola) is a producer of Chianti from the Rufina sub-region. This juicy, authentic and concentrated red is produced from vineyards owned by the winery in that district. For whatever reason these berries didn't make the Chianti cut; but man, they sure deliver. Brilliant, pure purple in the glass, reeking of varietal accuracy, exploding with black cherry fruits, finishing with clarity and herbal refinement; this is all the Sangiovese you'll need for most any occasion.
