First produced in 1989 and converted to 100% Cabernet Franc in 2001, it was one of the earliest single-varietal expressions of this grape on the Tuscan coastnow recognized as a reference point for the variety in Bolgheri. rrThe fruit is sourced from estate vineyards on the Via Bolgherese and Puntone hills, where sandy clay and calcareous soils enhance aromatic lift and fine structure. The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation with long maceration (over 30 days) and is aged for 18 months in French oak, 75% new. rrPaleo Rosso is deep, structured, and age-worthy, with intense notes of blackcurrant, graphite, wild herbs, and spice. Its hallmark is the interplay between power and precision, with fine acidity and a long, mineral-tinged finish. A wine of personality and pedigree that competes with the world's best Cabernet Francs.
