Grape: Nebbiolo Tasting Notes: Red Fruits, Mineral, Spice, Meat Beni di Batasiolo is the largest family-owned wine producer in Italy's Piedmont region. Since 1978, the winery has grown to encompass over 320 acres of vineyards. The estates' soil, climate and position among the hills produce a range of noble, elegant wines. The wine presents a classic Nebbiolo profile. It's full bodied, balanced, sophisticated, muscular but polished, and amazing texture with smooth tannins and incredible acidity. The fresh palate coveys flavors of plum, strawberry, cherry, meat, walnut, leather, earth, pepper, tobacco, oak, and tar. Give it a little time to breathe then try with steak or, perhaps, paella.
