95% Riesling and 5% Petit Manseng. The 2023 Goodbye Horses is a return to its roots. Linear, precise and unwavering in its acidic backbone. This is Austria, not Alsace. The salinity and minerality overwhelm the waxiness that usually comes along with P Manseng, which is a good thing. Pure and shimmering, clean and bright. Perhaps a bit reductive on first take, but we have no issue with that, it's charming. Mix that funk with a pithy lime and some river rocks, absolutely mouth watering. 126 cases produced. . Both grapes were whole cluster pressed and co-fermented. Juice was left with lees and fermented with ambient yeasts in fiberglass and then later moved to stainless steel. Wine was left on fermentation lees for 10 months without SO2. Full malolactic. Bottled unfiltered with a single 35ppm SO2 addition in July 2024.
