A uniquely rich style of Vin Santo made from a combination of typical Malvasia and a touch (10%) of Sangiovese as well. Â Fermented and aged in small Chestnut barrels for 5 years prior to bottling. Â This offers deep and rich flavors of cocoa powder, toasted coconut, deeply winey dried fruit notes of dates and dried figs. Â Most importantly the addition of Sangiovese adds a gentle phenolic bite on the finish which balances the natural sweetness of the wine.
