Brilliant ruby. Pungent dark berry, cherry and licorice scents are sharpened by peppery spice and mocha flourishes. Fleshy blueberry and bitter cherry flavors slowly gain sweetness in the glass and pick up a smoky nuance on the back half. Unwinds steadily with air and finishes smooth and long, displaying gentle sweetness and rounded tannins. (Josh Raynolds)
