Wine Advocate Review Rated 91 The 2013 Chardonnay Mountain Estate Vineyard shows slightly crisper acids, a more close-to-the-vest style, with notes of white currants, quince, wet stones and a touch of white peach. The wine is medium-bodied and seems to offer up loads of fruit, but in a zestier, slightly less dramatic style than its 2012 counterpart. It could be only a question of being a year younger.
VinoUS Media Review Rated 91 The 2013 Chardonnay Mountain Estate Vineyard is a pretty wine, but it is also much more delicate than it was from barrel, mostly because it was filtered. Dried pear, smoke, spice and white orchard fruit are all laced together in a delicate Chardonnay built on nuance. (Antonio Galloni)
Intensely brilliant and chiseled, the Chardonnay Mountain Estate Vineyard is shaping up to be a real gem. Lemon oil, almonds and white flowers meld into a core of intense minerality in this beautifully nuanced Chardonnay. The vintage is a wine of precision and energy.
