In The Double Single we have combined single malt whisky from the Glen Elgin distillery and single grain whisky from the Girvan distillery. The elegantly complex, ethereal malt whisky character is balanced on a decadent cushion of rich, sweet, vanilla-tinged grain whisky character.
Tasting Notes
"The nose offers a mix of vanilla and toffee, along with citrus zest, candied fruits?especially those chewy, sugary orange slices?along with heather, waxiness, and spice. A creamy palate delivers vanilla custard, chocolate, lemons, more citrus zest and spice, and cedar wood. A moderate length finish is smooth and offers menthol with underlying rich vanillins, eucalyptus, and yet more spicy citrus zest. "
